This instalment of Video-Philes is a bit of a recap. One of mymost treasured duo, Love Connection, are leaving for the big apple. They played thier last show in Melbourne a few weeks back and it was blistering with energy and overwhelming respect for both the talented two. So with this in mind, I thought I would include their clip to ‘You Don’t Need Muscles To Get Love’. Good luck over in NYC guys. Dick Diver just released a clip to ‘Head Back’, which came off their 2011 debut New Start Again. Alpine. These guys are just going from strength to strength. The group have been garnering a hell of a lot of street talk, great to see another Australian act edge towards the brighter lights. Alpine’s clip to ‘Gasoline’ was directed by Kris Moyes, who is behind my favourite clip of the year, ‘W II W’ by Kirin J Callinan. I don’t know a whole lot about Major Napier other than the fact he makes beautiful concoctions of sound. His clip to ‘Amazing/A Tribute to Jan Zajic’ is below.
