Conrad Standish and Tom Carlyon, both formerly of dark rock outfit Devastations, are now creating some brooding down-tempo sounds under the monkier of Standish/Carlyon. It’s no coincidence that the track ‘Critics Multiply’ has a certain HTRK element to it, Conrad is married to Jonnine Standish. The duo have just recently joined the local power house of pop that is Chapter Music, joining the likes of Twerps, Geoffrey O’connor and Dick Diver.
After spending their fair share of time in cities such as London and Berlin, both Standish and Carlyon are back in Melbourne, lucky for us, they are the Tuesday residents at The Toff in Town, dates are below. Their forthcoming debut, titled Deleted Scenes will be out later this year, gnarly.
