In 2011, Mere Women released their ‘Sun Rising/Waves’ 12″ single. 2012 has seen the Sydney three piece release their debut LP, Old Life. ‘Mister Memory’ is lifted from this superb release. Goth Pop, Post-Punk or whatever you want to call it, Mere Women seem to be ticking all the right boxes with me. You can pick up a copy of Old Life over at their Bandcamp page (Digital + Vinyl).

This track definitely slipped through to the keeper with me. It’s not mega new, but impressive and uplifting, it certainly is. I discovered ‘Waste Of Wine’ from Sydney’s Light Giant on both Circular Key and Sound Doctrine (If you don’t lurk these blogs, take the time to check them out.) So many beautiful aspects to this track, brilliant soaring vocals, it takes me back to exploring the world with my best friend a few years ago. Check these guys out on Facebook. They are touring with Little Scout on the ‘Go Quietly’ tour late August and into early September, details can be found here!

The boys have just released their four-track EP titled Tee-Pee, the track below is lifted from this collection of garage inspired harmonica rock and roll. The EP is being launched at The Tote Hotel, Collingwood on August 31, details can be found here.

Ali E (Damn Terran, Little Athletics), Mark Renall (Howl At The Moon), and Clayton Pegus (Spun Rivals) collectively make up Melbourne’s Heavy Beach. Towards the end of the year these talented three will be releasing their debut. You can lurk around Heavy Beachs Soundcloud page, soak up the sweet vibes and get excited for the forthcoming record.
