New Moon Blues is on again! Come celebrate the start of Spring with music, art, poetry and chai. This month’s musicians are Luka Lesson, Thom Crawford and Packwood.

LUKA LESSON

Regarded as one of the country’s best writer and performer of poetic work, Luka Lesson seamlessly blends music, hip-hop and poetry to create a truly unique sound. Drawing on his experience in Indigenous, Islander, African and other recently migrated or colonized communities, Luka Lesson uses his music and poetry to delve into political issues and influence societal change.

THOM CRAWFORD

Hailing from the Blue Mountains, Thom Crawford combines elements of folk, pop and indie to arrive at a strong, unique sound that has a very Australia feel. With mesmerizing vocals, poetic song writing and beautiful instrumentation, you’ll want to listen to Thom’s songs over and over again.

PACKWOOD

After dabbling in a wide range of musical genres, Bayden Packwood now describes his sound as ‘folk explosion’.  With the single ‘Longyearbyen’ Packwood combines delightful song writing with a beautiful 10 piece orchestra to create that perfect Spring sound. You can also catch Packwood at the Longyearbyen single launch on September 10th at Hibernian House, Surry Hills.
