I don’t know about everyone else, but I am getting some real Karen O vibes from Sarah Kelly at the moment. Her latest project Good Heavens, has seen her teaming up with ex-Wolfmother lads Chris Ross and Myles Heskett. ‘It’s Not Easy Being Mean’ is the first single from the groups debut record titled Strange Dreams, out August 17th through Rice Is Nice.

I am super keen to hear the debut record from Adelaide’s Bitch Prefect. Big Time is out through Bedroom Suck Records on the 3rd of August. ‘Bad Decisions’ is the first track to be lifeted from the forthcoming record. Following on from a more than successful self-titled EP, when commenting on the record, BSR states “Two minute songs that speak the truth – you’ve heard it before and you need to hear it again. Don’t call it Melbourne lethargy, this is Adelaide desperation. The product is uncut.” Make sure you grab a copy of this when it’s out, good contender for ‘Best Albums of 2012′ lists no doubt.

I stumbled across White Australians in my inbox today. I can’t locate a whole heap of info other than her name is Ashley Bundang and she creates some super lo-fi sounds with some pretty dreamy vocals. You can check out her Soundcloud for a heap more tracks. Be sure to check out her track ‘Messier 83′, totes mezma beats.

Thanks to my pals over at Who The Hell, I heard Pop Singles for the first time today. Very nonchalant style, laid back, ‘Overcast’ is an all round brilliant track. If you are into Twerps, Dick Diver, Boomgates or Peak Twins, you are bound to be drawn to Pop Singles like a moth to the flame. Check out their Bandcamp page and get acquainted with their other releases. I did it, I had a good time.
