I am more than a little bit excited about this announcement!
Yesterday Gotye posted on his website that his new album Making Mirrors will be out August 19th.

The artwork has been revealed (a piece by Wally’s dad from the 80s), and there’s also a video preview with approx 15secs of each track on the album, which you can watch below.

The visuals that accompany the snippets of song are going to be released as a companion to the album. It looks as though Wally has kept to a similar recording process as with Like Drawing Blood – going it alone.

We heard the first single Eyes Wide Open last year and can expect the next single on July 11th… It features vocals from Kimbra so its probably going to be pretty amazing.
