I don’t really know how to start this post off other than saying, honestly, this is one of the most beautiful songs i have ever heard. A Casual End Mile are from Sydney. The three piece have a distinct dreamy lo-f folk sound, that resonates with the likes of Mazzy Star. In September this year, A Casual End Mile released their debut album Devils and Devotion. I have been spinning this release non-stop and really wish i discovered it earlier back then. It’s fragile, moving and discreet; yet a truly beautiful listen.
Madelaine Lucas displays a rare talent, and sings with stunning composure. The album was written and produced completely independently, engineered by Chris Townend at BJB Studios. Currently Devils and Devotion is s only available online and in a clothing store (Cream) at the moment.
Have a listen below, the title track is a highlight for me. Also check out the video to ‘Fox and a Prayer’.
