This week’s mix tape contains some recent new releases. A few beats to get the new month rolling. After coping some pretty big flack from many blogs as being a rip off of Empire of the Sun, Gypsy & The Cat, have proved that they are what EOTS should have sounded like. With a undeniable catchy vibe about them, Gypsy & The Cat, are proving they have what it takes to show the world that Australian acts can still punch well above their weight. The impressive duo will be touring well into the New Year.
Next on the list is Broklyn-based folk rockers Grizzly Bear, with their quite catchy tune, ‘Two Weeks’. These guys are well on the way to becoming one of the most promising acts to come out of the decade. With an eminent new album on the way.
The Walkmen, New York indie rockers are back with another studio album, the 2010 release of Lisbon has gained acclaim, so its only fair to put one of my favorite tracks, ‘Stranded’ in this little mix.
Finally, a track that has seen the light of day on this blog once before, a very beautiful piano version of ‘Like The Wheel’ by Swedish folk artist The Tallest Man On Earth.
Enjoy
